The studio for good people doing good things.

Studio Everett was founded out of a simple desire to create great design for great people. People who want to make a difference and be good to the planet (so bonus points right away if you’re a sustainable or vegan brand). I’m a passionate believer in supporting other creative entrepreneurs and celebrating independents.

Hi there – I’m Abi, a multidisciplinary artist & designer based in Brighton.

I’ve always been creative and always been drawn to colour and contrast. I worked in hospitality in my early days but not being creative left a hole in me that I never want to feel again. So, I studied design at Shillington College in Manchester, spent three years teaching Graphic Design at a Sixth Form College in Hampshire, then jumped headfirst into running my own creative studio by the sea in Brighton. My days now are made up of website design, branding design, illustration, walking my dog Oscar, and regular coffee shop visits for a chai latte and a vegan pastry. The best thing about living in Brighton? Seeing the sea every day!

I’m proud to be the whole package and a one-stop shop for brands who are all about the experience – whether that’s a music festival, a yoga class, or having lunch in a pub. I get to flex different creative muscles every day and each week is different, which I love. My style is a bit different from everyone else too. Like me, it’s playful, expressive, bold, colourful, open, friendly, and a bit in your face (in a good way!)

I also love to travel and am getting very itchy feet to go abroad again soon. Whether it’s a European city or an Asian island, as long as there’s sunshine, a nice view, good food and a bit of culture, I’m more than happy.

Core Values

👉 EDUCATION

As times change, so do I. I’m forever learning more and refining my craft, picking up new skills along the way. I’m always wanting to better the impact I have on the planet. Hopefully I can learn something from you too.

👉 COLLABORATION

In my experience, two minds are always better than one. I’m always proud to be trusted as the expert in design, but I strongly value communication and feedback. It’s important in helping me to produce work that really ticks all your boxes and hits all your targets.

I have a trusted network of industry experts so in the event that I can’t do it all, I know exactly whose expertise to call upon, so every project features the best of the best and continues to knock your socks off.

👉 KINDNESS

I believe that practising kindness makes the world a better place. We should always strive to be kind to our loved ones, to strangers, to the planet & always, to ourselves.

👉 HONESTY

Businesses are being held more accountable now and I think that’s amazing news. They’re having to focus on transparency, because that’s what people want to see more of. I know I do. That’s how I’ve always worked. You can count on me to be honest with my costs, my opinions and my feedback, and explain everything as we go, so we’re always on the same page. With me, what you see is what you get, and what you get is what you pay for – excellence.

Sustainability

I grew up in a pretty ‘green’ family, so I’ve always had a good awareness of the little things we can be doing to help take care of our planet.

I’m not perfect and there’s plenty more to learn, but I strive to lead my life as sustainably as possible. We don’t all have to go and live in a hut in the woods, but there are steps we can take as individuals that really make a difference.

What can you do to live a more sustainable life?

  • Carry a tote everywhere so you never need another plastic bag.

  • Support local! Take some time to explore local businesses to reduce air miles and help other business owners.

  • Visit zero-waste shops to top up your cleaning supplies and cupboard goods.

  • Recycle everything that you can (although Brighton is actually pretty shocking recycling-wise so I’m forever saving plastic pots to recycle back at my parents’.)

  • Eat vegan. There are many arguments for and against the sustainability of this lifestyle choice, but us vegans believe that overall, not eating animal produce is a fantastic way to help the planet. I also never really liked meat, so the change was easy.

  • Shop at the local free-range butchers for the meat eaters of the family, to ensure those animals had the best life possible and to keep food mileage to a minimum.

  • Plant a seasonal balcony garden for fresh tomatoes and herbs. It means zero supermarket packaging and it’s guaranteed to have that amazing home-grown taste.

  • Check out ‘Who Gives A Crap’ bamboo toilet paper. It’s soft, eco-friendly and charitable.

  • Try some eco washing up capsules like ‘Smol’.

  • Start using reusable coffee (technically chai/hot chocolate) cups as much as possible. COVID has made that harder lately but the planet will thank you if you try!
